Minimum System Requirements

  • PC, Laptop, or Apple Macintosh computer with sufficient memory as recommended for its operating system.
  • Operating System : TimeLedger works with any operating system that can access the Internet through a browser.

Does anything have to be installed on our user’s computers to use TimeLedger?

No. As long as your computer is setup to use the Internet with a browser, you can instantly access TimeLedger without downloading or installing anything.

What is included with the TimeLedger service?

Your organization receives the following:

  • Use of TimeLedger for each subscribing user.
  • Free maintenance, updates and upgrades.
  • Automatic continuous backup of all your data.
  • Free TimeLedger offline desktop / laptop version (allows users to enter time and expenses when disconnected from the Internet), with all updates.

How many users can we put on TimeLedger?

Although there is no limit, our customers generally range from 1 to 500 users per department or organization (you can also get reporting by department).

Can we get reports by group and by a department with multiple groups?

Yes. TimeLedger allows you to quickly setup users in groups, and to setup multiple groups into departments.

Can our organization use our own vocabulary for customer, project, user, etc.?

Yes. On the Settings tab, Company Settings link, at the bottom of the page, you can quickly setup the unique vocabulary of your organization. This helps your organization quickly understand and use TimeLedger. You can change the vocabulary at any time.

Is TimeLedger viewable in multiple languages?

Yes. TimeLedger automatically translates into the native language of each user – into some 40 languages. Each user can access TimeLedger in their own language.

Is our data secure and where is it stored?

Your data is stored on highly secure servers in a multi-million dollar facility in Virginia, USA. Access to the system is restricted to only a limited number of employees of Equative who have had background checks and who have been with our company for at least 6 years. The facility has multiple backup systems of Internet connections, power supplies, and generators, with 24-hour on-site monitoring.

Has Equative ever been subject to any dispute, arbitration, or litigation regarding any loss or breach of data security?

No. In over 12 years – since the release of TimeLedger in 1998, neither Equative, Inc. have ever been the subject of a single dispute, arbitration, or actual or threatened litigation regarding any loss or breach of data security.

How can we easily get our data into TimeLedger without having to retype it?

Yes. You can quickly upload data such as

  • Clients / Customers
  • Jobs / Matters / Tasks
  • Employees

by either:

  1. Importing your data from QuickBooks
  2. Sending us a file with your data (we will set it up for you at no additional charge.)

What methods of payment do you accept?

Mastercard, Visa, American Express, corporate or personal check (we can bill you annually or monthly for amounts over $200), Cashier’s check, or personal check, and bank wire transfer (domestic or international).

Can we use TimeLedger to collect payroll time?

Yes. Many of our customers use TimeLedger to collect time at work, lunch, sick, vacation, and personal time and feed it to various accounting and payroll packages such as QuickBooks, ADP, and many other applications.
